BioCote® Antimicrobial Technology reduces Campylobacter

You can’t see Campylobacter, smell it or even taste it, yet it is one of the most commonly found bacteria – in 2017 alone, there were 56,729 Campylobacter laboratory-confirmed cases in England and Wales.

Campylobacter bacteria can be found in undercooked meat, unpasteurised milk and untreated water. Despite the fact it does not normally grow in food, it can be spread via cross-contamination such as splashing it onto work surfaces, clothing and cooking equipment while washing raw meat.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of BioCote® technology on Campylobacter, manufacturers of transportation crates carried out a study involving the introduction of BioCote® antimicrobial additives into their products during manufacturing.

To find out how you can protect your products from Campylobacter and many other types of bacteria by using proven BioCote® antimicrobial additives, please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of the team on +44 (0)2477 712 489 or on [email protected].
