Antimicrobial Performance Floors

Harlequin is the world leader in advanced technology floors and stage systems for the performing arts with offices in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. Established in the UK over 40 years ago, Harlequin remains the performance floor of choice for the world’s most prestigious dance and performing arts companies, theatres, venues and schools.

Harlequin’s experience and reputation are founded on the design, manufacture and supply of a range of high-quality portable and permanent sprung and vinyl floors chosen by the world’s leading venues – from the Royal Opera House, the Bolshoi Theatre, the Paris Opera Ballet to the Royal New Zealand Ballet.

Harlequin Cascade Vinyl Performance Floor

Harlequin Cascade has delighted generations of professional dancers, artistic directors, technical and stage managers. The silky-smooth embossed surface provides excellent grip and is often described as giving ‘warmth’ to a dance performance. It is widely used as a ballet floor but is also a popular choice for many other dance styles.

Adding to its high-performance features, Harlequin Cascade now comes with BioCote® antimicrobial protection to help keep the floor hygienically clean by creating a dance surface on which bacteria and other microbes cannot survive.

BioCote® technology works alongside existing cleaning practices to reduce the presence of microbes that can cause irremovable staining, bad odours and material degradation. By reducing microbes on the surface of the floor, BioCote® creates a product with an enhanced level of hygiene by providing antimicrobial protection that will last for the lifetime of the flooring.
