Armstrong Medical partners with BioCote® to produce AquaVENT® – an antimicrobial heated breathing circuit. The corrugated tubing used in the production of this breathing circuit is manufactured using BioCote® to limit the number of microbes on its surfaces when in use, protecting the circuit from microbial colonisation.
BioCote® Antimicrobial Technology in breathing circuit tubing uses inorganic silver ion particles dispersed homogeneously throughout the tubing polymer. As BioCote® only validates products achieving a minimum 95% reduction in microbes, Armstrong Medical can offer a unique benefit to customers using their breathing circuits.
