Antimicrobial Door Furniture by Abloy OY

Abloy is continuously developing new, innovative locking solutions and door opening technologies that facilitate smooth entry and exit. As part of the HygTech Alliance, Abloy has chosen to partner with BioCote® to develop Abloy ACTIVE, a technology used to safeguard door environment products from microbial colonisation.

ABLOY ACTIVE is an antimicrobial powder coating solution for door accessories such as handles, pulls, panic bars and cylinders. Benefiting from proven BioCote® technology, ACTIVE destroys up to 99.99% of bacteria, including MRSA, E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella – making it a cost effective and hygienic solution. Available in standard white, aluminium grey, black, graphite and a wide range of other colours on special orders, ABLOY has not only developed more hygienic, but also aesthetically coherent products for door environment.

*BioCote® technology is built into products to inhibit the growth of microorganisms that may affect Abloy OY products. The antimicrobial properties do not protect users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs, or other disease organisms. This technology is not a substitute for good cleaning practices.
