We are thrilled to welcome Aqsa, our newest team member, and the creative mind behind the BioCote® marketing endeavours. As our Marketing and Creative Design Executive, Aqsa brings experience and a fresh perspective to our growing team. Her passion for innovative marketing strategies and a keen eye for design make her a valuable asset as we continue to strengthen our marketing efforts in-house and for our partners.

As we introduce Aqsa to the BioCote® team, we are excited about the fresh energy and innovative ideas she brings to our marketing efforts. We cannot wait to see the impact Aqsa will make as we collectively strive to strengthen BioCote® position as a leader in our industry.

What is your role at BioCote® and what is your favourite part about working here?

As the Marketing and Creative Design Executive at BioCote®, my role is to express creativity, develop the brand, and inspire others. I love the freedom to explore new ideas and collaborate with a talented team. Part of my role involves creating partner collateral and assisting them in visually expressing their communications on how their antimicrobial products work, it’s a fulfilling aspect of my job that allows me to contribute to their success while showcasing the creative potential of BioCote®.

If you could swich your job with anyone else at BioCote, whose job would you want and why?

If given the chance to switch jobs with someone at BioCote®, I would choose to step into the role of our Digital Marketing Executive. I am particularly interested in gaining experience in digital marketing, specifically in web design and layout. By taking on this position, it would be an exciting chance to broaden my expertise and contribute to digital marketing strategies for BioCote® in a meaningful way.

What do you find the most challenging at BioCote®?

The most challenging aspect for me at BioCote® is understanding scientific terminology. However, I see it as an opportunity for growth and continuous learning. By actively engaging with the scientific team and seeking guidance, I am expanding my knowledge and improving my ability to bridge the gap between technical language and accessible communication.

What has been your favourite project at BioCote®?

My favourite project at BioCote® has been the collaborative creation of the first animation on ‘How Antimicrobial Works’. It involved working closely with subject matter experts to understand the terminology and complexities behind the technology. This teamwork resulted in a visually engaging animation that effectively communicated the functioning of antimicrobial technology.

What have you learned or gained since joining BioCote®?

Since joining BioCote®, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow in various aspects. One significant area of development has been enhancing my skills in PowerPoint design. Creating impactful presentations has been a crucial part of my role, and I have been able to refine my abilities in this area.

Additionally, being part of the marketing team has allowed me to collaborate on strategic planning. I have participated in marketing strategy meetings where we discuss and brainstorm campaigns and initiatives. During these sessions, I contribute my graphic design expertise and share creative ideas to complement and enhance our strategies.

What have you learned in past roles that you have carried with you throughout your career?

Throughout my career, I’ve learned to master various design software and adapt to different client budgets. These experiences have enhanced my technical skills and taught me how to effectively communicate and deliver exceptional designs.

How did you learn/enter the industry of your role?

I entered the industry of my role by studying graphic communication in college and university. After graduating, I gained experience through an internship and then pursued freelance graphic design work, which helped me develop a diverse understanding of design across various businesses. This combination of education and practical experience has equipped me to become a Marketing and Creative Design Executive at BioCote®.

Any random facts you could share?

Did you know that spending time in nature offers scientifically proven benefits for our well-being? It’s true! Just a leisurely stroll in a park or natural setting can reduce stress, uplift mood, boost creativity, and enhance overall happiness. As someone in a creative role, I find that stepping outside for a walk not only refreshes my mind but also inspires new ideas.

Best vacation you’ve been on?

The best vacation I’ve had was when I visited Pakistan last year to spend quality time with my extended family and reconnect with my family roots. It was an incredibly memorable experience to immerse myself in the rich culture, traditions, and history of Pakistan. Exploring the vibrant cities, savouring delicious local cuisine, and witnessing breathtaking landscapes were highlights of the trip. But above all, the time spent with my loved ones, creating cherished memories, and strengthening family bonds, made it a truly special and unforgettable vacation.

Do you have a favourite quote?

One of my favourite quotes is, “Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.” This powerful statement reminds us that our lives are shaped by the choices we make and the actions we take. It serves as a constant reminder that we have the power to create our own path, overcome challenges, and pursue our dreams. This quote inspires me to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.

How do you define success?

To me, success is all about finding genuine contentment and gratitude for what you have in life. Not just success isn’t solely about external achievements or material possessions, It’s also about embracing the present moment and recognizing the blessings and accomplishments that have come your way.

What are three career lessons you’ve learned so far?

  1. Teamwork: Collaborating effectively and valuing the diverse skills of team members leads to innovation and productivity.
  2. Understanding Perspectives: Empathy and actively seeking to understand others’ viewpoints improve communication and relationships.
  3. Prioritization: Effective time management and prioritizing important tasks lead to increased productivity and successful outcomes.

If you could have a dinner party with 5 guests, who would they be? (anyone, dead or alive)

If I had the chance to throw a dinner party with five guests, I would definitely keep it casual and invite my immediate family and closest friends. There’s nothing quite like sharing a meal and having a good time with the people who know me best and make my life brighter.
