As silver does not break down, BioCote® antimicrobial additives will not leach from the surface of treated products, retaining their antimicrobial performance for the expected lifetime of the product. Silver technology has a low toxicity and is therefore a safe and natural alternative to synthetic (organic) chemical antimicrobials.
BioCote® antimicrobial additives will not affect the aesthetics of products apart from imparting antimicrobial properties. Treated products will require no additional or specialist cleaning or maintenance.
