Masisa Ltda has signed an agreement with BioCote Ltd for producing wood-based panels with decorative laminates using BioCote® protection, which will be a great move forward for supplying the furniture industry and interior decorators in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico.
Masisa launched BioCote® on its product range in March 2009 at the FIMMA Trade Fair in Bento Gonçalves in Rio Grande do Sul. Bento Gonçalves is one of the major clusters of the furniture industry in Brazil and has the biggest concentration of export based industries.
Masisa has won a number of prestigious awards including Environmental Accountability Fritz Müller Award (2006), Best-Of-The Best At Interzum Germany for product innovation (2007), Top Móbile (2007) for second consecutive year - an award in the category of Suppliers of the Furniture Industry as the manufacturer of MDF wood board most recognized in Brasil and more recently Masisa Brazil received the distinction granted by the Brazilian Institute of Quality and productivity, as well as a recognition by a prestigious business magazine in Brazil, as one of the top 20 benchmark companies for its management practices related to sustainability.
