Silver

Silver_TYPE_B_smSilver_TYPE_A_sm Silver form 1 & 2 – These composite silver compounds imbue products with excellent antimicrobial efficacy against a broad range of microbes. Thanks to the high efficacy and robust physical properties, this form is suitable for deployment in a broad range of materials and applications, including paints, coatings and textiles, as well as all polymers and other material types.

Zinc

Zinc_sm A well-known antibacterial and antifungal compound, zinc pyrithione is known for its use in anti-dandruff shampoo. Zinc pyrithione can be incorporated into materials and applications which may be expected to have greater exposure to mould and fungi, as well as providing excellent antibacterial protection.

Copper

Copper_sm Providing antibacterial properties since the times of the Ancient Egyptians, copper salts can be utilised in many substrates. Often used in disinfectant products, Copper salts can also provide antimicrobial protection in preservative and hygienic applications, with substrates such as paints, coatings and polymers being most suitable.

Phenolic biocides

Quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC or QUAT)

Organic_TYPE_B_sm These antimicrobials are extremely diverse in terms of use and structure, BioCote’squaternary ammonium compound products are ideal for uses such as disinfectant formulation and antimicrobial surface treatments.

Fungicides (Thiabendazole)

Organic_TYPE_C_sm Many surfaces are vulnerable to discolouration, staining and material damage from mould and fungi. Our range of fungicides can be economically incorporated into many products and materials to provide long lasting protection.
